Breath Taking Views From Villa Athena

The villa is in the north west of Corfu in one of the nicest coast lines of Corfu. The villa is located in Afionas one of the oldest and traditional villages of the island. You drive all the way to the end of the village, pass some nice Tavernas with excellent food and drink – The Night Owl, Three Brothers, and Pergola, to name a few.  At the top of the road there is a beautiful church.  After the gift shop turn right down a hidden small road down to the sea. The street is kind of steep and narrow but after a few meters down you will get one of the best views you will never forget.  About 100 meters down right in the curve you will see the amazing Villa Athena.

The Villa

The villa is very private, but still close to the village. The villa is about 220 sqm and has 2 large bedrooms, an activity room with a sofa an additional person to sleep.  The second floor is an open plan about 110 sqm large with a fantastic modern kitchen, large dining area, and a comfortable living room. From the balcony you will have what other people have to drive for -- a breath taking sunset every evening.  All of the rooms have a sea view. Directly outside the house you will find a 10 x 5 meter pool with comfortable sunbeds and lounge area to relax. There is also a covered seating area with table and chairs plus grill to enjoy the sunset during your dinner.
 
For walkers Afionas and the area is a paradise. You will find many possibilities of all kinds walking paths.  For example you can walk in the morning to Porto Timoni. It is very friendly Taverna on top of the mountain with a great view.  You can enjoy your breakfast and look down to St George Bay.  It’s one of the most beautiful beaches. There are also Arillas Beach and St. Stefanos Beach very close by.  All three beaches can be reached by car in about 7 minutes.  Walking to them is also possible.

Location

Corfu is one of the Ionian Islands, North-West Greek Coast (39°40′N 19°45′E)
Corfu is just off the West coast of Greece and is one of the most Northern Ionian Islands.  It's one of the greenest Greek islands filled with ancient olive groves and valleys of cypress trees.  (See the Nasa Map of Corfu, right. Note also from the photo that the shades of blue indicate sea depth. Generally, the sea on the East and North of Corfu is shallower (light blue) whereas the sea on the Western Corfu coast is very deep.)
